A woman accused of fleeing the state after killing her mother is back in Las Vegas and recently appeared in court.

Hend Bustami appeared in a Las Vegas courtroom Monday to face an open murder charge following the death of her mother, Afaf Hussanen

Bustami was arrested near Barstow, California, on October 26th after she called 911 to report and confess to the murder before fleeing the state.

According to an arrest warrant, she told investigators that she was involved in an argument with her mother, which led to a fight.

During the fight, Bustami claimed she hit Hussanen over the head with a table glass, stabbed her multiple times after it broke, and then cut her throat.

The report notes that cuts were observed on her hands by detectives, which were consistent with her claims.
